2023: The Year of Growth, Strength and Joy
This season we are celebrating the theme “Embracing Gratitude,” and for good reason. Our program has so much to be grateful for! In 2023 we grew to 10 locations, 10 teachers, and 440 students. We are located across three different counties and have given out 13 private lesson scholarships. Our organization has been highlighted through local and national awards, in national magazines, and on local news channels. This was the year of embracing growth and we thrived!
But our most meaningful celebrations of gratitude have focused on embracing joy. This year we witnessed the incredible transformation of our students. Eugenie’s Parkinson’s diagnosis left her afraid to walk up her own stairs, but her Rx Ballroom classes gave her the skills and confidence she needed to tackle a cha cha showcase. Lisa lived in denial of her Parkinson’s diagnosis, but Rx Ballroom Dance provided her a network of support and she conquered a powerful tango performance. Gloria couldn’t walk down the street with the neuropathy in her feet, but her scholarship allowed her to build the skill and strength to take the stage with her partner Emmet.
Here at Rx Ballroom Dance, we are working hard to ensure everyone who has been diagnosed with a neurodegenerative condition has access to the power of ballroom dance therapy. Your gift directly provides all participants, free of charge, the power of embracing hope. Your donation ensures those who struggle with neurological and movement disorders can have access to the ability to see better posture, stronger recall, and more joy. Your support changes the face of treating Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and dementia.
This season, join us in embracing gratitude and consider a donation of support. We wish you and your loved ones a joyful holiday season and thank you for being a beacon of hope.
